Android - Headsetter - 1.3

On my N1 the volume would re-adjust to my profile settings even though I had not unplugged/plugged anything. So, Headsetter now remembers the last profile and does not adjust the volume if it is called with the same profile. The current profile is reset on boot and if you use the application to stop the service.

Android - NetQ/NetQFree - 2.0.1

FC fix for Widget

Tuesday, September 28, 2010

Android - NetQ/NetQFree - 2.0.0

  • Fixes galore. Some you may have encountered many you didn't
  • Configurable widget: choose the queue to display and the refresh interval
Please comment/email regarding any problems or feature suggestions.

Anyone interested in Facebook and/or Twitter integration? I was thinking of an update getting posted when you rate a movie.

Also, NO you cannot watch Instant movies using NetQ/NetQFree. If it could be added it would be but that is being done by Netflix. Once the Netflix app is launched NetQ/NetQFree will be updated to allow you to use NetQ/NetQFree to play a movie through Netflix's app.

Android - MerchantMobile - 1.1.0

  • Improved progress dialogs
  • Active network detection and warning
  • Fix: AdMob stat retrieval after leaving app with AdMob open

Monday, September 20, 2010

Android - MerchantMobile - 1.0

MerchantMobile is now live in the Market! This app is strictly for fellow Android developers.

  1. View order notifications from your Google Merchant account. Requires Google Merchant ID and Key which can be found on your Merchant page under Settings->Integration
  2. Filter your Merchant data in based on date and order status
  3. App stats and review/comments from Market. Password is required for initial retrieval but then a token is saved for future uses.
  4. AdMob stats. Requires an AdMob API key which can be created by visiting Tools->API on your AdMob stats page.
Depending on your sales volume, the loading of Merchant data can be a bit slow (uses SSL). I recommend you perform initial and older notification retrieval while on WiFi.

MerchantMobile is considered beta as I have only one app to test with for Merchant and AdMob data. Please report all FCs and any other errors you encounter. All feature suggestions are welcome!

Android - NetQ/NetQFree - 1.9.1

  1. Fix for FC with feeds and images
  2. Updated user ratings to include rating descriptions and "Not Interested" option. Please note that Netflix does not report that a user has set "Not Interested" on a title but you will notice that the rating will change from user or predicated rating to the average rating.
If you ever get an FC please report it as I cannot fix the issue if you don't. Thanks!

Android - NetQFree - 1.9.0

NetQFree has now been updated to 1.9.0. It has the same features as NetQ 1.9.0 as detailed in the post below.

Wednesday, September 15, 2010

Android - NetQ - 1.9.0

NetQ 1.9.0 is now in the market. Along with a few random fixes, the new features are:

1. Scan a barcode to search Netflix
While in the search tab, press the menu button and select Barcode Search. If the Barcode Scanner app is not installed, you will be prompted to install it first. After installation, or if the app is already present, you will be presented with the barcoding scanning window. Maneuver your phone so that the barcode is in the window. Once the barcode image is recognized the resulting barcode string is forwarded to Google to be translated into the product name. The product name (if found) is then placed into NetQ's search box and a Netflix title search is started. Barcode search was only tested using UPC codes found on DVDs and BluRays.

2. At Home widget
You can now place a widget on your home screen to display the movies that Netflix reports as either being at your house or in transit to/from your home. When adding the widget, choose the widget that corresponds to the number of movies you are allowed to receive at one time from Netflix (Netflix currently offers 1-4 movies out at a time). So, if you have 2 movies at a time, choose the NetQ (2x2) widget. Similarly, if you have 4 movies out a time, choose the NetQ (2x4) widget.

Both of these features are considered beta as barcode search cannot be tested in the emulator (and therefore has only been tested on my Nexus One running Android 2.2) and the widget is the first I have developed. Please report any issues encountered.

These features will be coming to NetQFree very soon.
